The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the building operations team within CSAIL's Infrastructure Group (TIG).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver physical mail and packages throughout CSAIL

  • Work with MIT Facilities on building-related issues and respond to general maintenance requests throughout the building
  • Provide secondary support for room setups and A/V technical assistance

Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or its equivalent
  • Two years of applicable experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Discretion and good judgment with sensitive, confidential, and/or valuable materials
  • Experience with and ability to operate video conferencing hardware and audio-visual equipment
  • Ability to provide first-level support to troubleshoot A/V connection issues on both MacOS and Windows systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (inclusive of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new programs and acquire software skills as necessary
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a team-based environment across all levels with faculty, staff, and others, including members of external organizations. The position requires the ability to move items weighing up to fifty pounds and attend occasional evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events up to 5% time when necessary.

This position is represented by the Research, Development and Technical Employee's Union (RDTEU).
