Job Summary:

As a Public Safety Call Taker, you will be responsible for operating a computer terminal, multi-line telephone, and switchboard while maintaining written logs, records, and computer-aided dispatch systems. You will receive, coordinate, and disseminate critical information from various sources, perform vehicle registration and driver's license checks, and complete related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire
  • Ability to work in a 24-hour/7-day emergency dispatcher center operation setting
