Job Overview

Commercial Lines Insurance Account Executive with 3-5 years of expertise in commercial property and casualty insurance is required to fulfill the essential functions and responsibilities of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with agency producers and team members to gather, market, and secure coverage for both new and existing clients.
  • Collect and organize underwriting data for new and renewal accounts.
  • Prepare applications in partnership with producers; submit applications to qualified carriers; evaluate coverage options and advise producers and/or clients accordingly.
  • Create summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals.
  • Re-market renewals in collaboration with producers.
  • Review and renew policies in accordance with agency standards for thoroughness and accuracy, facilitating corrections as necessary.
  • Assist clients in making informed coverage decisions; utilize each client interaction as an opportunity to enhance and expand the account.
  • Provide prompt responses to client requests for certificates, policies, endorsements, and other account-related information.
  • Process audits, policy modifications, new/renewal policies; ensure accuracy and facilitate corrections as needed.
  • Respond promptly to incoming email and mail inquiries.
  • Accurately invoice all premium-bearing actions within the agency management system.
  • Maintain organized electronic records within the agency management system.
  • Offer technical support to producers.
  • Mentor Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and CSR assistants.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Property & Casualty License.
  • College education or equivalent experience in the insurance sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clarify complex issues.
  • Ability to consistently meet multiple deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed electronic files within the agency management system.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and relevant references.
  • Understanding of insurance rating and underwriting processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Experience with Applied Epic Agency Management System is a plus.
