We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Postpartum Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to new mothers and their babies in Anchorage, AK.
About the JobThis 13-week contract assignment offers a unique opportunity to work with a reputable healthcare agency that prioritizes patient care and career growth.
Responsibilities- Assess and monitor new mothers after delivery to ensure proper recovery and healing, physically and emotionally
- Clean and monitor newborn babies
- Check vital signs of mothers and babies
- Remove catheters after delivery
- Dispense medication as needed
- Provide education to new parents regarding infant care
- Work with lactation consultants to support breastfeeding
- Motivated candidates with a strong background in nursing
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
