About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternal Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital AK. This is a 13-week travel nursing opportunity that offers a unique chance to work with our experienced healthcare professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Summary:
The Maternal Care Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. The ideal candidate will have experience in labor and delivery units and possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients based on their specific needs and medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatments
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license and a minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery units
- Strong clinical skills, including knowledge of fetal monitoring and obstetric complications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- A patient-centered approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
