About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; or Grand Rapids, MI. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on electrical systems design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, microgrids, and lighting systems.
  • Perform construction administration services, including review of shop drawings and contractor-proposed change orders.
  • Evaluate feasibility of alternative design approaches and collaborate with senior team members.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and equipment condition evaluations.
  • Organize and plan projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met within budget.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presenting to clients.
  • Act as an assistant to the Electrical Department Manager with workload planning.
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff within the Electrical Department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of related experience and/or education.
  • EIT certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Proficiency in SKM and electrical analysis software.
  • 6+ years of electrical systems design experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ability to interact with others on a multi-discipline team.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • People management experience a plus.
  • NCEES Record.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to present designs to clients.
  • Additional industry certifications such as LEED AP or CEM.
