Research and Information Services Librarian

We are seeking a highly skilled Research & Information Services Librarian to join our team at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing expert research and related deliverables to our attorneys, legal support staff, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research using online resources, including legal, business, and practice-related databases.
- Provide research services support to assist our team members with the selection and use of appropriate research materials.
- Coordinate access to resources at specialty libraries, as needed.
- Assist our business development initiatives by creating and maintaining litigation alerts and evaluating and distributing results to our attorneys.
- Provide research and other inputs to our business intelligence and client development teams on projects designed to give senior management information about competitors' or clients' business activities.
- Work with our Research & Information Services Manager to identify, evaluate, and acquire new research materials.
- Maintain awareness of current legal and business research materials, techniques, strategies, and resources; build research skills in new areas of the law and new technologies.
- Must have 3+ years of experience conducting research in a legal setting, preferably in a law firm library or legal research center.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in library science or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- A master's degree is not required but considered a plus.
- Extensive experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis, VitalLaw, and other platforms is required.
- Desire to keep skills up to date and relevant and enthusiasm for exploring emerging research platforms.
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion.
- Effectively multi-task and prioritize projects while meeting all appropriate deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Willing and eager to help others, share knowledge, and collaborate with attorneys, staff, and other team members.
- Some flexibility to travel as necessary.
The estimated national salary range for this role is $69,800-$95,800.
