As the Lead Engineer for Financial Systems, you will oversee the architecture, development, and upkeep of the environments and infrastructure that facilitate the deployment, applications, and services supporting GXO's international financial systems. The Lead Engineer will work closely with both internal and external development and operations teams to adopt best practices, streamline deployment processes, and enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). This role empowers teams to efficiently deliver high-quality software and applications while providing a robust platform that meets both business and technical requirements.

Typical Responsibilities:

As a Lead Engineer for Financial Systems, you will be accountable for the global financial systems platform, which includes Oracle Cloud, EBS, HFM, EPBCS, EDM, and various financial peripheral systems, along with the underlying environments and networks.

  • OIC Administration:
    • Manage and maintain Oracle Identity Cloud Service (OIC) environments.
    • Configure and oversee OIC policies, identity providers, and access management settings.
    • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company policies regarding security.
    • Maintain and monitor security certificates.
    • Address and troubleshoot OIC-related issues, collaborating with Oracle support as necessary.
    • Provide assistance and guidance to development teams utilizing OIC for their applications.
  • OCI Administration:
    • Manage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
    • Oversee the infrastructure components for Oracle Integration Cloud environments.
    • Monitor and optimize OCI resources, including compute, storage, and networking.
    • Implement and uphold security policies and practices within OCI environments.
    • Establish and maintain the OCI vault.
    • Manage databases, storage, and other cloud resources.
    • Conduct backups and execute disaster recovery planning for OCI environments.
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams for release planning and execution.
    • Work with other IT teams to integrate and optimize OIC and OCI solutions.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to end users and development teams.
    • Document procedures, policies, and configurations for OIC and OCI environments.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing.
    • Collaborate closely with other financial platform administrators such as EDM, EPBCS, and HFM.
  • Environment Management:
    • Plan and execute cloud-related projects, including migrations and upgrades.
    • Ensure the smooth implementation and deployment of new services and features.
    • Partner with other IT infrastructure teams on network and security initiatives.
    • Possess familiarity with SOX controls regarding infrastructure maintenance.
    • Manage the technical relationship between GXO and third-party vendors.
    • Ensure that third-party teams deliver their technical components on time and meet quality standards for specific projects or issue resolution.
    • Validate that third-party products and solutions comply with GXO's technical standards and industry best practices.
    • Oversee the CI/CD pipeline and the tools that comprise it.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

At a minimum, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work or military experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administering Oracle Identity Cloud Service (OIC), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Integration Cloud/ODI.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in administering Oracle Identity Cloud Service (OIC), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Integration Cloud/ODI.
  • A strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and/or VBCS.
  • Experience with cloud management and monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with various components of CI/CD pipeline tools such as GiT, Jenkins, Puppet, Bamboo, BitBucket, Maven.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Single Sign-On, MFA, and Azure.
  • Technical familiarity with Oracle Fusion, OBN, EPBCS, HFM, EDM.
  • Experience with network and security protocols.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect).
