Overview

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a key member of our outpatient mental health program, you will be responsible for providing a full range of mental health services to inmates, detainees, or residents.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations to determine appropriate mental health services and treatment plans.
  • Provide supportive mental health services, including brief individual counseling, group counseling, and specialty group counseling.
  • Develop and implement case management plans to ensure continuity of service delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely mental health documentation.
  • Consult with security, medical, classification, and other departments as needed.
  • Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention as required.
  • Develop post-release plans and communicate with community-based mental health facilities for referral and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in a mental health-related field, such as psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • State licensure as a clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, or licensed mental health professional.
  • One year of experience providing mental health services in an institutional setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work in crisis situations and develop clear and concise reports.
  • Strong counseling and motivational skills, with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
