Job Summary

Chicanos Por La Causa is seeking a qualified Mental Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide general mental health and substance abuse treatment and recovery support in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide direct support services for clients and their families in the substance abuse treatment program.
  • Work in partnership with clinical guidance from the Clinical Lead or Program Director.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance abuse issues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, or ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to be insured under automobile insurance policy.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification, CPI certification, AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, current TB test.
  • Possess an Arizona Driver's license, vehicle insurance and ability to be covered under CPLC's policy.
