Job Summary:

As a Principal RF Engineer at Sierra Space Corporation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex RF products and technologies. This role requires a strong background in RF engineering principles and practices, including various modeling, analysis techniques, and tools. You will work in a multi-disciplinary design and development team to deliver innovative solutions that meet the company's mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RF front-end systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, and filter design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems into larger product architectures.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including various RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools.
• Work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including various RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools.
• Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles.
• Experience with automated software testing.
• Understanding of the application of Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., White/Orange/Green Belt).
• AI&T experience with commercial space vehicles or space systems from demonstration class through category-A missions.
• Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances.
• In-depth understanding of product development and verification methodologies.

Working Conditions:

• Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.).
• Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
• Rarely exposed to loud noises.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
• Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
• Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
