Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse

Nicklaus Children's Hospital is in search of a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse to become a vital part of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this role, you will be entrusted with delivering outstanding care to our most vulnerable patients and their families.

Position Overview:
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, evaluate outcomes, and oversee patient care.
  • Effectively communicate patient status to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer fundamental nursing care, provide medications, and educate patients and their families.
  • Ensure a secure environment with an emphasis on preventing infections.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or eNLC.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within one year.
  • Fulfillment of competency assessment for Critical Care within six months.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
  • National certification to be obtained within five years of employment.
  • Prior experience in Pediatric Nursing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent time management and communication abilities.
