Key Responsibilities
  • Complete nutrition services-related assignments for pregnant, postpartum individuals, infants, and children.
  • Practice group and one-on-one nutrition and breastfeeding education, breast pump issuance, and referrals to nutritionists.
  • Demonstrate nutrition services-related knowledge and application to a Registered Dietitian.
  • Complete case management assignments for pregnant, postpartum individuals, infants, and children.
  • Practice nutrition and breastfeeding need assessment, goal setting, and follow-up appointments.
  • Demonstrate case management-related knowledge and application to a Registered Dietitian.
  • Complete client services-related assignments for pregnant, postpartum individuals, infants, and children.
  • Practice determining WIC program eligibility, educating participants on non-nutrition program items, collecting anthropometric and biochemical data, and conducting call reminders and rescheduling missed appointments.
  • Demonstrate client services-related knowledge and application to a Registered Dietitian.
Requirements
  • 1 year of administrative/clerical experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • WIC Nutrition Assistant Certificate within nine months of being hired.
  • Valid Driver's License & Vehicle Insurance.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
