Job Summary

Colorado State University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor to join our team in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences. As a key member of our Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (VDI) service, you will be responsible for providing clinical services, teaching, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services in small animal imaging, including radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, computed tomography, PET/CT, and MRI
  • Rotate coverage for after-hours and holiday call backup of radiology residents
  • Participate in resident training and graduate committees
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and research programs
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to advance the department's mission and goals

Teaching and Instruction

  • Provide didactic lectures, group rounds, and informal teaching to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students, Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging residents, and other graduate students
  • Develop and implement curriculum for radiology and imaging courses
  • Participate in practicum teaching rounds within the DVM curriculum

Administrative Services

  • Provide administrative support to the VDI service, including chief of a particular imaging modality and clinical section head
  • Rotate with other faculty members as Residency Program Director and serve on department and college committees related to the veterinary program

Requirements

  • DVM degree (or equivalent)
  • Board certification or board-eligible in veterinary radiology (ACVR) or equivalent exam
