About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Develop and maintain reports for internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to analyze and collect data, and collaborate to solve complex problems using data.
  • Data Quality: Perform data quality verification checks to ensure the accuracy of reports and data.
  • Database Development: Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Query Development: Develop queries using Structured Query Language (SQL), as needed, to mine data from the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW).
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience working with and analyzing data, conforming to HL7/FHIR and USCDI standards.
  • Knowledge: Deep knowledge and/or experience with healthcare interoperability, HL7 data exchange standards, CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR, & APIs.
  • Skills: Extensive experience writing ad-hoc advanced queries in SQL or similar coding language, proficient with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Education: A masters degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience working with social care data and terminology used by the Gravity Project.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of data management concepts, and associated tools and techniques.
  • Skills: Experience working with and managing large, complex data sets, use and analysis of data to inform decision making.
