Unit Coordinator

Seattle Children's is seeking a skilled Unit Coordinator to provide administrative support and patient care coordination in our pediatric units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of an organized, family-centered patient care environment. This includes providing outstanding customer service to families and visitors, conducting screenings for everyone entering the inpatient units, and supporting all Children's staff in improving the health and well-being of all children through excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the unit team, including maintaining accurate records and files
• Coordinate patient care activities, including screenings and admissions
• Provide exceptional customer service to families and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with the unit team to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Two or more years of experience in direct customer interactive situations
• Certificate in Medical Terminology or equivalent
• Familiarity with other cultures and bilingual skills highly desirable
