Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Antepartum Unit at Swedish First Hill. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing unit operations, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Antepartum Unit, ensuring that patient care is delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory, and medical center standards.
  • Develop and implement unit-based quality improvement programs to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the clinical nurse specialist and/or clinical educator to identify, plan, and implement educational programs for staff.
  • Assume accountability for staff retention, tracking turnover rates, and implementing strategies to reduce turnover.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or ADN with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of date of hire.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 3 years recent experience in related clinical area of nursing.
  • Must meet criteria of Registered Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 1 year first line management experience.
