Job Summary: The Disability Solutions Health and Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing the provision of health and wellness services to students. This includes basic health services, chronic care management, oral health services, mental health services, medication management, family planning, and healthy eating and active lifestyle programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise center health and wellness services and staff.
  • Facilitate student introduction to health services and provide health and wellness assessments and screening.
  • Develop and implement center plans to address student health and wellness needs.
  • Collaborate with counselors, residential staff, and medical trade instructors to provide wellness education to students.
  • Manage center health and wellness budgets and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with health and wellness regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain center health and wellness policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to student health and wellness needs.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum: Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing and active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where the center is located.

Preferred: Three years' experience as a practicing nurse, one of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of nursing techniques/procedures, time management, and communication skills. Familiarity with medical needs of disadvantaged youth and ability to handle multiple priorities.
