Job Description

Refractory Installer & Equipment Operator

LVR Inc., a prominent provider of refractory materials and industrial installation solutions, is in search of Refractory Installers and Demolition Equipment Operators (training available).

The role of a Refractory Installer typically involves the removal and replacement of high-temperature concrete linings within industrial manufacturing environments. This demolition is executed using advanced mechanized equipment similar to BROKK or excavators. Essential skills for the refractory installer include masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulation. The installer is expected to employ proper craftsmanship techniques in line with industry specifications and widely accepted best practices.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to acquire a valuable trade with a newly acquired company that is positioned for growth and offers a clear career trajectory and advancement opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • General construction experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and on scaffolding at heights
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts (including nights and weekends, with 10-12 hour days as required), and willingness for overnight travel

Compensation:

Overtime is compensated for hours exceeding 8 hours/day, at 1.5X for Saturday work, and 2X for Sunday work.

Travel expenses will be covered for out-of-town assignments.

Training:

We are open to training candidates.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in refractory work, concrete construction, masonry, mechanical and welding, or excavation and heavy equipment operation.
