Job Summary:
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, you will provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults, and families to improve psychosocial functioning. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of behavioral health clients.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals.
- Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
- Participate in meetings to support Sterling Health Solutions, Inc.'s integrated health care model.
- Identify and develop plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration in at-risk patients.
- Collaborate with the primary care team to develop care management processes and improve self-management of chronic disease.
- Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
- Teach patients, families, and staff care, prevention, and treatment enhancement techniques.
- Monitor the site's behavioral health program and make recommendations for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
- Ability to work through brief patient contacts and make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
- Good knowledge of psycho-pharmacology.
- Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions.
Credentials and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, or other related field required.
- Licensed in the State of Kentucky as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) required.
Special Requirements:
- Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
