Job Title: Director, Regulatory Counsel

Mortgage Connect is seeking a highly skilled Director, Regulatory Counsel to oversee the development and maintenance of a library of compliant borrower communication related to mortgage servicing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance on the development and maintenance of a library of compliant borrower communication related to mortgage servicing.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory and legislative requirements related to mortgage servicing.
  • Ensure change management processes are followed to update notices in a timely manner.
  • Produce and deliver client communications, including articles and webinars, on changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Senior Management and staff on emerging compliance issues.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and reviewed annually.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate required.
  • Admission to at least one state bar.
  • 5-10 years of legal, regulatory, and compliance experience with mortgage servicing or residential foreclosure.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships.
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Present information to executive and senior management teams, sales department, internal groups, and/or third parties.
