What You Need to Succeed:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement.
  • Highly preferred: Level 3 Security certification.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in healthcare or education settings.
  • Required: Valid Class C Driver's License and insurable upon hire.
  • Required: Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level II certification.
  • Required: Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level III certification (up to 2 attempts allowed).
  • Required: Completion of TASER Certification Course & Certification (annual recertification required).
  • Required: Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months or Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days.
  • Required: Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:

As a Night Security Specialist, your duties will include:
  • Conducting patrols of the premises to monitor for unauthorized access.
  • Managing door access according to established schedules.
  • Providing escort services for individuals to and from parking areas.
  • Identifying and addressing unauthorized individuals on the property.
  • Enforcing parking regulations and issuing citations for violations.
  • Ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Responding to incidents of criminal activity and detaining individuals as necessary.
  • Documenting incidents and composing detailed reports.
  • Offering assistance and directions to visitors and staff.
  • Engaging with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Providing vehicle assistance and conducting interior and perimeter patrols.
  • Completing reports that detail observations and activities.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Greeting individuals with respect and courtesy.
  • Responding promptly to service calls and emergencies.
  • Utilizing de-escalation techniques and critical thinking skills in various situations.
  • Coordinating with emergency response teams as required.
