Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at New York Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will have expertise in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Strength and Conditioning, with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the primary course instructor to design and deliver high-quality educational content, including lectures, activities, and assignments.
• Develop and administer exams to assess student knowledge and understanding.
• Prepare and maintain current and evidence-based teaching materials.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Be available to meet with students via email and by appointment.
• Stay current with best practices in instructional methods, including technological integration, active learning strategies, and adult learning concepts.
Qualifications
• NYS License to practice physical therapy.
• Professional in good standing.
• At least 1 year of experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Preference for OCS or SCS certification candidate.
• Residency trained in Sports and/or Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
