Job Summary:

The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduling and Work Rule Analyst to join our team in Tysons, Virginia. As a key member of our operations team, you will work closely with our carriers and internal stakeholders to analyze and develop strategic solutions for pilot scheduling and work rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop strategic solutions for pilot scheduling and work rules
  • Provide technical support to carriers and internal stakeholders on scheduling and work rule issues
  • Collaborate with carriers and internal stakeholders to develop and implement scheduling and work rule policies
  • Testify as an expert witness in Association litigation
  • Make recommendations regarding negotiating strategy and Association policy
  • Provide guidance on work rule and scheduling issues to Association and department staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Economics, or Finance
  • 10+ years of experience in pilot scheduling and work rules, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in direct labor negotiations
  • Extensive working knowledge of pilot scheduling and work rules and airline operations
  • Experience advising pilots on negotiating strategies and tactics
  • Proficiency in use and understanding of scheduling software packages, such as Preferential Bidding Systems (PBS)
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
