We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Ellsworth Corporation. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding our business in the industrial sales sector.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting and lead generation through various channels, including industry guides, vendor partner input, and referrals from existing customers.
- Making sales calls to existing and potential customers to determine potential applications and present viable solutions.
- Securing opportunities to quote on existing and potential customers' requirements by visiting customer facilities and/or contacting by phone.
- Following up on quotations submitted to customers and developing a plan for every call and a strategy for each account.
- Establishing professional customer/vendor relationships with key customer personnel and conducting plant audits to work on consolidation and cost-savings initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal Ellsworth partners to support their efforts at assigned accounts and coordinating trials and development with customer service representatives, vendor representatives, technical personnel, and R&D.
- Providing complete and accurate customer requirements to comply with Ellsworth's quality system and communicating with the immediate supervisor on a regular basis.
- Managing a portfolio of opportunities, following up in a timely fashion, and providing timely and accurate feedback on leads and referrals generated from trade shows, vendor-supplied leads, and leads generated from Ellsworth Adhesives marketing efforts.
- Maintaining and utilizing customer data via Ellsworth's database management software and completing and submitting required reports accurately and on time.
- 3+ years of experience in a related industrial sales environment, preferably in a custom adhesive, chemical, coatings/paint, pharmaceutical/food manufacturing, or packaging/dispensing environment.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in a related field of study or equivalent training or experience.
- Proficient on a personal computer and mobile devices, with knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software, project management software, spreadsheet software, CRM software, and word processing software.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs occasionally.
