About the Team and Position

As a Car Vending Machine Engineer, you will play a crucial role in integrating mechanical and software engineering. We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in mechanics and robotics, coupled with programming skills. You will be involved in enhancing the entire customer experience related to our unique car vending machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance our state-of-the-art car vending machines, which feature a variety of motors and controllers.
- Develop new functionalities for the vending machines, including web and mobile applications to improve user experiences for both employees and customers.
- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and operate our electromechanical systems.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Experience with PLC-based motion control systems, such as Beckhoff TwinCAT.
- Knowledge of variable frequency drive (VFD) motors and related control equipment.
- Familiarity with low voltage control circuits, sensors, and I/O systems.
- Understanding of fieldbus technologies like CANbus and EtherCAT.
- Proficient in troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and process control domains.
- Interest in designing user interfaces that are both functional and user-friendly.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, vendors, and management to manage projects effectively.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript is advantageous.
- Willingness to adapt to various roles and responsibilities as needed.
- Some travel may be necessary as our vending machines are located nationwide.
