About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our mission critical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing complex cooling and HVAC systems for high-performance buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for data centers and mission critical facilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation for mechanical systems
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and project teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in mechanical engineering and mission critical systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis
  • 7+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high-performance buildings
  • EIT or Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Experience working on international projects
