Centria Autism is seeking dedicated and skilled Behavioral Support Technicians. Candidates must possess and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or be prepared to complete a 40-hour training program and take the RBT competency exam within 45 days of starting employment.

Behavioral Support Technicians play a crucial role in the growth and development of children on the Autism Spectrum by delivering ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy in a one-on-one environment under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This therapeutic approach aims to enhance essential developmental skills such as communication, social interaction, and readiness for educational settings.



Compensation:
$24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities of the Behavioral Support Technician include:
1. Deliver direct client care in both individual and group settings, employing a mix of intensive teaching and natural environment training.
2. Adhere to the outlined behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies as specified in the client’s personalized treatment plan developed by the BCBA.
3. Collect, document, and analyze data on observable client behaviors.
4. Assist in training parents and caregivers in accordance with the client’s individualized treatment and behavior modification strategies.
5. Ensure timely completion of documentation following established protocols.
6. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as directed by the BCBA.
7. Implement safe and appropriate methods when working with clients and report any critical incidents or safety issues promptly.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
9. Support the BCBA in preparing client materials, behavior assessments, and skill acquisition plans.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
1. Willingness to undergo the company’s background check process if offered a position.
2. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
3. Reliable transportation is essential, and in some cases, proof of a valid driver’s license and car insurance may be required.
4. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
5. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification along with a TB test if not completed in the past year.
6. Ability to physically perform job duties, including getting down on the floor and standing up repeatedly, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving quickly when necessary for the safety of the children.
7. Dependability and commitment to attending all scheduled therapy sessions.
8. Professional demeanor in both appearance and conduct.
9. Patience to assist clients in staying focused on tasks.
10. Capacity to maintain emotional composure during challenging situations involving clients.
11. A positive attitude and motivation to help children develop new skills are essential.
12. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
13. Competence in following and executing detailed instructions.
14. Proficiency in technology to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications.
15. Good written and verbal communication skills.
16. Strong cultural awareness and the ability to remain flexible and open-minded.

Additional Qualifications (not mandatory):
Experience in roles such as Behavioral Technician, working with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
