Position Overview
The MSL Manager for Rare Diseases will lead and oversee a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) dedicated to advancing the strategic goals of the organization. This role encompasses strategic planning, team leadership, and the effective dissemination of scientific information to healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of MSLs with a focus on rare diseases.
- Strategic planning and execution of medical strategies.
- Enhancing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of field medical strategies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong preference for experience in rare diseases.
- 1-2 years of leadership or management experience within field medical affairs.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations related to product promotion and scientific exchange.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with KOLs and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
Education
A graduate-level degree (PharmD, M.D., D.O., PhD, MS, or equivalent) is required.
