Welcome to Alternative Services – Connecticut, Inc. We are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the Job:
The Residential Instructor is responsible for the daily aspects of consumer supervision and program operations. Ensures all consumer progress is followed accurately and in a timely manner. Implements all Agency policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and welfare of the consumers and Agency property.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the individuals.
- Monitor consumer behavior and implement consumer behavior management programs or other programs as applicable.
- Document all shift activities and incidents in the log and on consumers in Therap.
- Implement and adhere to all policies, procedures, and/or legal and program commitments to consumers as required by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, ASI and other state agencies and federal agencies.
- Distribute all medications according to each consumer's medication schedule and DDS Medication Certification guidelines and Agency policies.
