Paramedic ED PRN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Practice and develop customer service skills to ensure exceptional patient and family experiences.
  • Serve as a patient and family advocate, protecting confidential information and promoting patient autonomy.
  • Plan and implement patient care and teaching based on comprehensive assessments and patient age.
  • Evaluate and document patient response, recognizing changes in physiological and psychosocial status, and taking appropriate action.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system and adhere to established protocols.
Requirements:
  • State of Florida Paramedic License
  • PALS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Emergency Medical Paramedic certification
