Business Operations Specialist

The State of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Management Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and technical assistance to our districts, tribes, and nations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage division budgets, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and implement financial reports, including weekly and quarterly updates.
- Process Budget Adjustment Requests (BARs) and Request for Reimbursements (RfRs) in a timely manner.
- Provide data analysis and support budgetary decisions to the Assistant Secretary.
- Collaborate with internal and external entities on technical assistance, policy, and non-regulatory guidance.
- Offer technical assistance to grantees on fiscal responsibility of grants awarded through the Division.
- Provide internal training and assistance on internal programming.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Two years of experience in business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
- Knowledge of fiscal management and budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Office setting with extensive personal computer and telephone usage.
