Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Central California Baking Company. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Ensure equipment productivity and minimize downtime or malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Collaborate with the engineering management team to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Respond to maintenance and line stoppage calls with a sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Prepare accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in similar maintenance of production line equipment and facilities is preferred.
  • Licensed Maintenance Engineer (LME) license is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
  • Adherence to company core values.

Working Conditions:

Shifts are assigned through the union bid process. Union membership within 30 days of hire is required.
