Position Overview

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will be an integral part of a compassionate team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. At Griffin Memorial Hospital, we embody the principles of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I.C.A.R.E.). Our mission is to foster healthy communities and deliver exceptional care to enhance the well-being of all individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver both direct and indirect nursing care in a clinical setting under the guidance of registered nurses or licensed physicians.
  • Provide healthcare support to patients dealing with severe emotional disorders, psychiatric illnesses, or substance abuse issues.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and collaborate effectively with Psychiatrists, Therapists, and fellow Nurses.
  • Administer medications and manage their distribution within the unit.

Job Type/Salary:
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Annual Salaries:
  • Level

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Level III: Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse and three years of practical nursing experience.
  • Level II: Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse and one year of practical nursing experience.
  • Level I: Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse.

Special Requirements:
  • Upon receiving a conditional job offer, candidates must undergo a physical examination and meet the physical requirements, including the ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to undertake job-related travel as necessary.
