Employment Type: Full-time Nights

The Practical Nursing Specialist is tasked with delivering suitable nursing care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse within the healthcare unit. Responsibilities encompass gathering and communicating patient data, adhering to directives, and executing therapeutic interventions on patients, tailored to their specific age and health status, in accordance with Hope Community Resources, Inc.'s protocols. The LPN will also undertake additional assigned responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care Duties

  • Take charge of designated patients under RN oversight
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Record patient information promptly
  • Observe vital signs and monitor patient conditions
  • Conduct various medical tasks including wound management, specimen collection, and catheter care

Documentation and Reporting

  • Participate in the formulation of patient care strategies
  • Observe and report alterations in patient conditions
  • Accurately document patient information
  • Assist in securing necessary physician orders

Qualifications:

Education and Training: Valid LPN/LVN licensure in the relevant state, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience: Preferred minimum of one year in inpatient medical-surgical nursing

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Efficiency in completing nursing tasks
  • Ability to connect with patients and build rapport
  • Adaptability to evolving situations
