Compensation Range: $22.00 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW

The culinary specialist is tasked with preparing and organizing assigned kitchen stations with essential supplies, cooking menu items, and collaborating with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare all food items for the restaurant.
  • Exhibit proficiency in all kitchen areas.
  • Accurately read, measure, and execute recipes.
  • Process computer tickets for service efficiently.
  • Utilize knife skills for food preparation and service, maintaining high standards for plate presentation.
  • Assist chefs in executing service as required.
  • Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to address guest needs.
  • Move furniture and equipment as directed by management.
  • Adhere to all safety and health department regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure proper checkout procedures are followed.
  • Promptly clean spills and dispose of trash appropriately.
  • Report any complaints or incidents to management.
  • Complete nightly, weekly, and daily operational tasks.
  • Record and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to obtain all state-required work cards.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knife skills.
  • Knowledge of proper food storage techniques.
  • Understanding of safe lifting practices.
  • Strong guest relations skills.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with full-service kitchen operations.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
