Position Overview: This role entails the setup, upkeep, and management of the bar(s), which may also involve catering to private events on occasion.

Key Responsibilities: As a bartender, you will be tasked with preparing the bar area assigned to you. This includes arranging liquor bottles in an appealing manner, organizing supplies, and ensuring all necessary tools are available at the bartender station(s). Throughout your shift, you will take drink orders from guests or wait staff, accurately fulfill these orders, and efficiently process transactions through the register system. Creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages sales while maintaining cleanliness in the bar area to meet health department standards is essential. At the conclusion of your shift, you will be responsible for tidying and organizing your designated bar area, which includes dismantling the bartender station, cleaning any utensils or tools, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of your workspace. You may also need to assist in preparing or restocking garnish items and ordering additional supplies to maintain adequate inventory for guest service.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid TEAM, TIP, or TITLE 4 certification card
  • Must have a valid County Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and in your possession for each event worked
  • Must maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding all guest information
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
  • Must be able to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Must have knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes and bar terminology
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume bartending environment or equivalent

Additional Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach in confined spaces
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, up to four (4) hours
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations and high noise levels
