Through personalized instructor support, student-led study initiatives, and varied clinical experiences, the Chamberlain community is united in its mission: to empower one another to excel and make a significant impact in the healthcare sector.
Course Focus: BIOS-242 - Microbiology Fundamentals with LaboratoryThis course introduces essential microbiological principles, concentrating on medically significant microorganisms and infectious diseases. Key topics include microscopy, microbial growth, genetics, antimicrobial substances, epidemiology, and immune responses to pathogens.
Laboratory sessions emphasize aseptic techniques, microorganism isolation and culture, microscopy, and staining methodologies.
Classes may convene once or twice weekly over an eight-week period.
The in-person interactions in both lab and classroom settings are complemented by technology (including online discussions and assignments) to create a richer educational experience.
