Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the University's financial operations. This position will be responsible for applying well-established accounting principles to evaluate current operating practices and identify process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Office and Financial Aid to ensure alignment with accounting requirements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and payroll accounting functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Two to five years of related business experience.
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Great Plains.
