Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN), adhering to the ANA scope of practice, employs the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care. This includes integrating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and facilitate discharge. The RN ensures high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, while acknowledging the influence of nursing care and patient/family collaboration on patient outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and objectives into the care plan and develops educational strategies for patients and families, documenting this education appropriately in the health record.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years.
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing programs must possess at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days.
