Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our Student Support Services team at Lake Villa School District. As a Speech/Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language evaluations, therapy, and consultation services to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other special service staff to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Attend regular Special Service Team meetings to stay informed and contribute to team decisions.
  • Prepare and submit necessary forms for reimbursement under IDEA funds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor, in support of the district's mission and goals.
Requirements
  • Illinois Certification - Type 10, Speech and Language Impaired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, with a schedule to be determined in accordance with the school calendar and state regulations.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position will be established by the Board of Education, in accordance with the district's compensation policies.
