Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to students with emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, developmental cognitive disabilities, and other special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized educational plans to promote students' academic, social, and personal growth.
- Teach students in assigned disciplines, adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet their varying needs and interests.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to resolve students' behavioral or academic problems.
- Administer assessments and evaluations to determine students' developmental levels, needs, or potential.
- Provide performance feedback and guidance to students, education assistants, and other support staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) license in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (K-12).
- Strong knowledge of learning theories, teaching methods, and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
