MRI Imaging Specialist

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures for clinical and research patient care populations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate modality-specific technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
- Provide radiologists and physicians with patient history relative to the exam being performed and obtain informed consent.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, sedation/anesthesia personnel, and all staff members to ensure a safe outcome for the patient.
- Participate in department and modality-specific quality improvement initiatives, including ACR accreditation.
- Six months of supervised clinical experience in MRI.
- Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) credential in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
- Associates degree.
- Experience in pediatrics.
