Job Summary
Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Medical Unit Clerk to join our team in Aiken, South Carolina. As a Care Team Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities, including vital signs, I&O, and specimen collection.
- Perform data collection and reporting, recognizing variances in patient condition and reporting promptly.
- Follow the plan of care and recommend changes to meet the ongoing needs of the patient.
- Provide care that is related to the patient's needs and well-being.
- Participate in shift report and document data collection, tasks performed, and patient response accurately and appropriately.
- Report abnormal data findings immediately.
- Provide blood glucose monitoring and notify nursing of results.
- Monitor patients receiving blood or blood components.
- Monitor patients on fall precautions.
- Provide interventions within scope of practice, including simple dressing changes, vital signs, and activities of daily living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Current CNA certification preferred.
- BLS certification.
- Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
