Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Medical Unit Clerk to join our team in Aiken, South Carolina. As a Care Team Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care activities, including vital signs, I&O, and specimen collection.
  • Perform data collection and reporting, recognizing variances in patient condition and reporting promptly.
  • Follow the plan of care and recommend changes to meet the ongoing needs of the patient.
  • Provide care that is related to the patient's needs and well-being.
  • Participate in shift report and document data collection, tasks performed, and patient response accurately and appropriately.
  • Report abnormal data findings immediately.
  • Provide blood glucose monitoring and notify nursing of results.
  • Monitor patients receiving blood or blood components.
  • Monitor patients on fall precautions.
  • Provide interventions within scope of practice, including simple dressing changes, vital signs, and activities of daily living.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Current CNA certification preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
