Quality Inspector Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team at LTA Research & Exploration. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our innovative experimental and certified airships.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough inspections of aerospace hardware, sub-assemblies, and systems to verify conformance to design requirements.
  • Provide objective evidence of inspection results and document all noted defects or discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to installation procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Perform regular audits of processes, tool controls, and calibration to maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role.
  • Ability to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) with overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to perform inspections in permit-required confined spaces.
  • 1+ years of experience using boom lifts, mobile lifts, and scissor lifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Society for Quality Certifications (CQI, CQT, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or Inspection Authorization.
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The base rate for this role is $30-50/hour, which is determined based on experience, geography, and qualifications. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes a very competitive annual bonus, 401K Match, and other generous benefits.
