AdventHealth Apopka is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healthy lifestyles.
About the Role:The Registered Dietitian will utilize the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition intervention, and monitor the nutrition status and progress of patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Assessment: Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, take measurements, review medical records, collect data via interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status.
- Diagnosis: Evaluate assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, and high-risk health behaviors.
- Intervention: Offer nutrition recommendations, orders, education/counseling, and/or referral to other services.
- Monitoring: Make follow-up available to detect progress and adjust nutrition plans of care to reach nutrition goals and promote optimal outcomes.
- Leadership: Provide supervised practice experience to dietetic interns and new employees, and participate in research, performance improvement, and initiatives.
- Communication: Enter complete, accurate, and timely electronic health record documentation and orders per protocol and standard operating procedure.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field.
- Current active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Current active RD licensed status in the state in which you practice.
