Work Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Days - Every 4th weekend rotation

Your Contributions:

  • Assessment: Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather measurements, review medical histories, collect data through interviews, utilize validated tools, evaluate anthropometric data, and calculate estimated comparative standards.
  • Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition-related risks, problems, and knowledge gaps, as well as high-risk health behaviors.
  • Intervention: Provide nutrition recommendations, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to additional services as needed.
  • Education and Counseling: Deliver counseling and educational sessions that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity for patients requiring nutritional management. Employ evidence-based theories and concepts, including the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Monitoring: Facilitate follow-up to track progress. Adjust nutrition care plans to achieve nutritional goals and enhance outcomes.
  • Leadership: Offer supervised practice experiences for dietetic interns and new staff that meet learning objectives. Stay updated on emerging research and evidence-based guidelines, and engage in research and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Communication: Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation in electronic health records, adhering to protocols and standard operating procedures to reflect patient care. Respond promptly to internal electronic communications.

Qualifications Required for Success:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field

PREFERRED:

  • Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Active registered dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Active RD licensure in the practicing state.
