Job Summary

As a Truck Driver SCA WASS, you will be responsible for operating a multitude of vehicles, including Straight trucks, to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various locations. This role requires a safe and efficient driving manner, with a focus on customer satisfaction and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to commercial driving regulations and road conditions.
  • Report any infractions or incidents to leadership, ensuring a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Load and unload trucks with or without helpers, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintain trucks in good working order, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational objectives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive business success.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, applying analytical skills and creative problem-solving to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and implement metrics to measure quality, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure work schedules accommodate company needs, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and evaluate process flow, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive business success.
  • Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing internal customer needs, providing timely and accurate information to inform business decisions.
  • Meet security clearance requirements, ensuring compliance with program regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education.
  • Class C drivers license.
  • Minimum 5 years experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a large warehouse setting.
  • 5 years experience working in a warehouse environment driving vehicles.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships, providing information and support to colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using available information, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills level (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Superior customer service standards, with the ability to project a cooperative and professional demeanor when working with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, continuous improvement, and customer-centric environment, adapting quickly to new procedures and challenges.
