At Threshold Giving, we're seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraising Advocate to join our team in NYC. As a Fundraising Advocate, you will work with our team to engage with the public, motivating them to become supporters of our non-profit partners through ongoing donations.
Our non-profit partners, including The International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, and Amnesty International, rely on us to generate vital funds needed to save lives, empower people, and create a more equitable and sustainable world.
We're looking for energetic and confident communicators who can express their values and inspire their community to make a real and lasting change. If you're interested in being a voice for people seeking shelter from war, persecution, and violence, and the thought of being the reason why those people receive lasting safety and support excites you, then we want to hear from you.
As a Fundraising Advocate, you will work with your team on different streets in the city, engaging in inspiring conversations with members of the public. Each conversation you have will have both an immediate and long-term impact on the lives of people who genuinely need support around the world.
We offer full, paid training and ongoing opportunities for development. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a base pay of $18 per hour during training and $20 per hour after, plus uncapped weekly bonuses.
Some experience or interest in social justice, activism, poverty alleviation, humanitarian causes, the environment, and/or non-profit organizations is a plus. If you're passionate about making a difference and have a strong desire to work with a leading fundraising agency, then we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the public to motivate them to become supporters of our non-profit partners
- Work with your team to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with donors and supporters
- Meet or exceed fundraising targets and goals

- 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
What We Offer:
- Full, paid training and ongoing opportunities for development
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Base pay of $18 per hour during training and $20 per hour after, plus uncapped weekly bonuses
- Flexible spending account and health savings account
- Monday to Sunday work schedule
