VP, Commercial Lines Specialist Job Description

NewtekOne, a leading Business Solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled VP, Commercial Lines Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Newtek Insurance Agency, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and sales through effective client engagement and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all incoming inquiries on a daily basis, contacting clients and alliance partners to drive revenue growth and sales.
  • Meet monthly production and revenue goals by booking and binding new business.
  • Qualify and analyze prospects' coverage needs, assessing risk and consulting on solutions to meet their needs.
  • Utilize internal referral management systems to document progress and milestones within the sales process.
  • Responsible for contacting prospects at least every 3 days, making substantive efforts to advance through the sales process.
  • Educate and consult prospects on available coverages, informing them about policy inclusions, limitations, or changes to enhance coverage.
  • Follow up with prospects during the sales process to keep them engaged and informed every step of the way.
  • Cross-sell other Newtek services to new or existing customers, creating partnerships and serving relevant additional services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and decision-makers to secure and earn relevant business.
Requirements:
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and usages.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
  • Knowledge of liability coverages, property, professional, management, workers compensation, auto, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance programs and how they protect businesses.
  • The ability to read policies and break down coverage.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.
  • Contribute individually with minimal supervision as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of how to use Agency Management System.
  • A sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects of Newtek.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, ability to type 35wpm with reasonable accuracy.
  • Ability to make 50-75 outbound calls per day to make contact with clients to review policies and coverages.
